![]() Hourly Care ProgramMovement Games are offered for children hourly, everyday. Games include duck-duck-goose, red light, green light, parachute play, balloon volleyball, jump rope, relay races and ribbon dancing. The games are chosen based on the age, interest and energy level of the children present. Circle Time will be offered throughout the day which will incorporate preschool activities such as color, number and letter recognition, music, dance and sharing time. Arts and crafts are offered at any time during the day and will teach children various skills such as cutting, folding, gluing, beading, painting, sculpting, rubbing and stamping. School Age children will enjoy their own space as well. However, at Dew Drop-In we encourage children this age to use their minds when they are here. Therefore have only one TV, which will be used sparingly. The children will be encouraged to read, play games, construct puzzles, utilize legos and other construction games, enjoy an art project, and have time to complete homework, with the help and support of our staff. Snacks will be provided to children twice a day at 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Complimentary juice and crackers will be provided, however, you are welcome to provide your own snack for your child. Meals will not be provided by Dew Drop-In. However, if your child will be here during a meal time, we are happy to provide a space for your child to eat what they have brought from home (no fast food please!) Diapers and Toilet Training are tended to every 2 hours, or as needed. If your child is in the process of being toilet trained, we ask that you bring them in a pull-up. This will avoid an accident in an area where other children are playing. Staff will be happy to give your child frequent reminders in order to help with the success of toilet training. Naps are not scheduled due to the various times children arrive. We do have a nap area available for your children if they are tired. The nap area will have portable cribs and nap mats for your convenience, please bring a sheet, and blanket from home. |
